New Zealand
Private Estate

Indulge in a piece of New Zealand pioneering history. Set in 15 acres of park-like grounds in the heart of New Zealand's South Island, the historic Holme Station Homestead offers something uniquely New Zealand to incentive groups wanting to get away from it all.   This private estate is available on an exclusive basis and offers a truly unique blend of modern facilities, luxury accommodation, and timeless country elegance to provide the perfect theme for your incentive program.  The backdrop may be rural New Zealand, yet from Christchurch, Holme Station Homestead is only a 20 minute flight or a leisurely 2 hour drive through the plains and rolling hills of South Canterbury.

Built in 1912 by one of New Zealand’s pioneering families, Holme Station Homestead was designed to house a large family with a household staff of 25 and was the social centre for the large working sheep station.  The grounds of Holme Station conjure up images of English country life, with sweeping lawns, punctuated with idyllic groves  where your guests can enjoy a game of croquet or indulge in a country picnic.  A themed event could include pieces of history, like the old tennis court by the river or the gardeners cottage or you could put up a marquee for an outdoor function amongst the massive oaks in the park-like environs.  Host a black tie function and have a progressive dinner, enjoy cocktails in one of the 4 lounges, indulge in a glass of port at the end of the evening in the games room.

On-site facilities to enhance your itinerary program can include cooking classes with a celebrity chef in the large country style kitchen. The local waterways are renowned for their elusive trout and what better way to indulge in a spot of fishing and bring to the dining table the rewards of your day.

There are seven golf courses within 35 minutes of Holme Station Homestead, endless flat country roads to explore on a bicycle and lots of scenic and historic places to discover on foot.  Let a local guide take your group to explore unique Maori Rock Art and historic sites or take you on a 4wd safari trip to see the magnificent scenery that appeared in the Lord of the Rings on the big screen.  As you are on the doorstep of the backcountry of South Canterbury and the skifield regions of the Southern Alps, a personalized outdoor adventure activity may include wilderrness rafting or a helicopter experience in the high country.
